They’re derived in part from a similar concept used in Waldorf (Steiner) early childhood classrooms. Kinderboards are skilfully crafted from European beech wood (not Birch wood). The timber is sustainably sourced from an FSC certified supplier. Made in an ethically run factory that Kinderfeets inspects and evaluates regularly. Tested and certified to European and Australian standards. Supports up to 220 kgs. Finished with a translucent water-based, furniture-grade lacquer.
Kinderboards are made in accordance with established Steiner principles to maximum their sensory and exploratory potential. This includes a slightly textured surface rather than a slippy gloss finish, plus a felt-free base that allows it to be used hygienically outside the home or as a low-friction sliding ramp.
